Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership: Evaluating You Can!
We were proud to evaluate the impact of You Can!, an innovative multi-media campaign aiming to encourage smokers across Greater Manchester to quit.
Real-life experiences of former smokers were used to provide positive and personal messages around the benefits of quitting and to show that you can stop smoking.
Via pre and post-campaign face-to-face interviews, across all 10 Greater Manchester districts, we assessed the reach and impacts of the campaign amongst 4 target segments, as well as the more general smoking population. This involved monitoring smoking behaviour and attitudes towards quitting and our analysis focused on identifying the extent to which change could be attributed to the campaign. We also considered reactions to and perceptions of the campaign itself.
To enhance the statistics generated by the quantitative study, depth interviews were undertaken with smokers who had seen the campaign.
