Sonya Dixon

,  Director

Sonya is a founding Director of Bluegrass and a specialist marketing researcher with over thirty years’ experience working internationally across a range of sectors.

Sonya’s career has always been in marketing research. She spent the first decade based in multinational agencies in London, Dublin and Leeds, along with a stint of three years in Sydney when she was research manager for Nestlé Confectionery. She finally returned to her native North East where she worked for ten years agency-side before setting up Bluegrass in 2008.

Experience of working both in agencies and client-side means that Sonya really understands the challenges faced by client organisations, both operationally and strategically, allowing her to shape what Bluegrass delivers to make it ultimately valuable and actionable for our clients.

Highly experienced in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, Sonya leads the charge at Bluegrass in Public Health research, but also works regularly with clients based in other sectors, notably the Visitor Economy. She likes to work closely with clients to deliver robust and actionable insight, helping to develop strategies and evaluate impacts.

She delights in living by the sea and is always out and about with her family. Another passionate cook in the Bluegrass team, Sonya loves to bake.
