Marketing Manchester: Researching leisure visitors to Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester has a clear vision for its visitor economy: to be perceived and used by international and domestic audiences as a year-round, vibrant and stimulating cultural city destination.

Bluegrass delivered the Greater Manchester Leisure Visitors Survey in 2018 to provide Marketing Manchester, the organisation charged with promoting Greater Manchester on the national and international stage, and partners CityCo and TfGM, with insights into current leisure visitors.

Topics covered in the survey were wide-ranging; all to provide a more detailed picture of who is visiting Greater Manchester and why, and the experience whilst in the city.  This understanding is vital to evaluate and inform strategies to develop the visitor economy, and to ensure that investment is directed in a way to optimise return.
